Intro to Wheel-Throwing
Instructed by Barbara Mann

July 8–August 26 (8 weeks)
Mondays, 6:00–9:00 p.m.

Beginner and intermediate potters will enjoy wheel-throwing
functional forms such as bowls, cups, plates, jars, and mugs.
Experiment with glazing techniques and bring home beautiful
hand-made pieces.

skills to create functional forms. Begin by learning handbuilding techniques such as coil
and slab building then move on to creating forms such as bowls, cups, and mugs on the
potters wheel. Learn about glazing techniques and bring home functional pottery.

Various tile making methods will be explored: pressing,
stamping, carving and cavity molds.
