WHAT: WORKSHOP TIME! Lisa Naples “Put a Bird on It” handbuilding workshop.
WHEN: Sunday, May 23 (weekend before Memorial Day) from 2pm to 5 pm.
COST: $30 for CDA Members or $40 for Non-Members
HOW: This is a virtual workshop to be held exclusively sponsored by CDA with Lisa Naples instruction live via Zoom. We will get together in small groups at various studios around the 757 area or you can Zoom it from the comfort of your home or studio if you prefer. You will need the ability to access the Internet and stream a live Zoom workshop for the instructions and will work alongside Lisa's live guidance.
WHAT WE ARE MAKING: Lisa will guide participants to build a Cockatoo or Galah bird with a hat using Lisa's signature style (see photo) including discussions about her finishing techniques.
WHERE: You would provide your own clay and tools to work with from your own space or a Hampton Roads Area group hosting location for small groups. Several 757 area code members have offered their studios as possible locations to work in small socially distanced groups if you are comfortable working in a group. If you would like a group location to work with please contact workshop coordinator: email@example.com otherwise sign-up and join the Zoom on the workshop day as an individual.
GROUP HOSTING LOCATIONS: If you can host several people, please let Amy know (firstname.lastname@example.org). Hosting locations will need to provide a large screen where participants can view Lisa's instruction via Zoom.
- Individual participants not participating at a host location will be invited to test their Zoom connections and ask technology questions on May 16th at 3pm.
- Host locations that will be hosting small groups of individuals will be invited to test their Zoom connections, screens, and ask questions May 16th at 5pm.
